Tonight, they face the Delta Ice Hawks who are also on the tail end of a back to back set. We’ll have to watch the energy levels of the players and how the coaches manages the bench.

The Steelers redeemed themselves, at least offensively, as they explode for 3 goals against the solid Ice Hawk goaltender in Euerby. A power play goal just after half way from the Steelers changed the momentum back into their favour. The Steelers score on their next shift to restore their 3 goal lead however the Ice Hawks just won’t go away scoring to get within 2 after the Steelers missed a glorious opportunity to increase their lead.

The recipe for success would have been to hold off the Ice Hawks from scoring. Well, throw the book out, cause the Ice Hawks score quickly to set up a comeback within the first two minutes of the period. The Steelers settled down and score just after midway through the period to restore their lead. It was short lived as the Ice Hawks claw back to get within 1. Late in the third, the Ice Hawks take an ill-timing penalty which the Steelers took full advantage to cruise to a victory with the all important 2 points in the race to get into the Playoffs.
