16-year-old defenseman appeared in 5 games with the Steelers, commits to Junior A Club
BURNABY WINTER CLUB – Grandview Steelers General Manager Aldo Bruno announced today that 2008 defenseman Landen Mailhot has committed to play for the junior A hockey club in the upcoming 2024-2025 season.
The right shot defender has spent the last three seasons with the Burnaby Winter Club Academy in the CSSHL. Mailhot appeared in 32 games with the U17 Prep team last season posting 20 points (4g, 16 a) and has been nominated for the CSSHL Top Defenseman Award.
Mailhot also was called up to the Steelers last season as one of their affiliate reserve skaters and suited up for the maximum 5 games with the club including a playoff game.
“(Mailhot) is dynamic young defenseman that performed admirably last season for our club. He handles the puck very well and has a strong two-way game.” Said Aldo. “We are excited to have him commit to the club for the upcoming season.”
