The Grandview Steelers walked into Sunday’s game (December 8th) trailing Coastal Tsunami by one win for 5th place in the Tom Shaw Conference.
On Sunday the Steelers tied Coastal for that 5th spot. Starting goaltender Ronin Geraghty once again stepped up, closing out a shutout win with key saves in the 2nd and 3rd period. Geraghty stopped all 23 shots tonight.
On the flip side special teams was a thing of perfection for the Steelers with Kori Belanger scoring a powerplay goal and the Steelers killing off all three Coastal Tsunami powerplay’s.
New acquisition Noah Gibbons also got on the scoresheet, assisting Kori Belanger on the fourth goal.
Rookies continue to develop well in high stakes games as the all rookie line of Aangid Manhas, Tyson Osachoff and Jack MacFarlane all got on the scoresheet. Plus, Rookie Defenceman Michael Konechny had a goal and an assist.
All in all, it was a well rounded performance the Steelers, you can watch the highlights here:
