Steelers Win: A Great Last Dance

In what has been nothing but a hot streak to the end of the season for the Grandview Steelers, the heater continued with the Steelers beating the Chilliwack Jets 5-4 in regulation.

However, this was the last showing of the 2024-2025 Steelers roster, as a Trailblazers 6-3 win over North Vancouver Wolfpack saw the Steelers out of the playoffs as the Trailblazers hold a higher goal differential.

This game had everything a hockey fan wanted lots of goals, big hits, tremendous saves and dramatic hockey. It was a game with a story and it was the final chapter of the 2024-2025 season.

Taking that into account before puck drop the Steelers started off hot, with the Konechny brothers (Steven and Michael Konechny) scoring the first two goals of the game in the first 40 minutes.

Heading into the 3rd is where the Steelers played chess, being mindful of the Tom Shaw Conference standings, the Steelers kept playing aggressive leading to a Gabe Adam goal. Making the score 4-2 early in the 3rd period.

The Jets ended up playing spoiler just enough. With three goals scored in the 3rd period.

An empty netter by Colby Longeau was enough for the Steelers to end the 2024-2025 season on a high note.
