Steelers 2nd period Momentum held off by Jets

The Chilliwack Jets came into Burnaby on a 16 game winning streak, to take on the Grandview Steelers and won their 17th straight 6-2.

The Steelers, held off the score sheet in the first period  allowed three 1st period goals against. Jets kicked off the game with goals by Imaan Atwal, Nikita Kulikov and Ryan Pretty.

Heading into the 2nd period the Jets topped up the lead to 5-0 early in the period. However, after drawing two penalties Forward Kori Belanger scored his 5th of season and Defenceman Markus Johansen potted in his first of the season.

 

The Grandview Steelers will look to bounce back in the win column against Port Moody on home ice this Wednesday.
