Game Recap: Wolfpack hold off Steelers Comeback

The Grandview Steelers got back on home ice playing their third game in four days. Scoring eight goals in the two games prior to Sunday’s (Jan 26th/2025) game against the North Vancouver Wolfpack. However, the Wolfpack were able to oust the Steelers 6-4.

It was a close 1st period with Lucas Davidson opening the scoring for the Wolfpack, shortly after Steelers leading scorer Steven Konechny scored his 22nd goal of the season to tie the game for a few moments until Dayne Henry scored late in the 1st period to give the Wolfpack a one goal edge.

The Wolfpack opened the 2nd period with two goals. But the Steelers stayed within striking distance with Forward Kassius Kler scoring late in the 2nd.

Heading into the 3rd period Cameron Lee scored early bringing the Steelers back within one goal. But shortly after a double-minor called against the Steelers lead to Wolfpack momentum as they scored two goals (the 2nd an empty net goal).

Despite a late goal from Noah Gibbons. It was too late for the Steelers
