Game Recap: Wolfpack hold off Steelers Comeback

The Grandview Steelers walked into North Vancouver on a three game win streak, and in those three games the Steelers were firing on all cylinders scoring 19 over a three game span. However, in another high scoring tilt, the Grandview Steelers fell short loosing 5-4 to the North Vancouver Wolfpack.

In the 1st period the Wolfpack had early opportunities, and eventually would catch fire at the end of the 1st with Andrew Casellato’s 23rd goal of the season opening the scoring.

Falling 2-0 to the Wolfpack late in the 1st period, the Steelers clawed back in the 2nd period with Kori Belanger and Kassius Kler scoring back to back power-play goals.

Early in the 3rd period the Wolfpack top six forward group continued to get a lot of looks as David Yoon scored his 31st of the season and Lucas Davidson scored his 33rd.

However the Steelers did not go down without a fight, Goaltender Ronin Geraghty made some key saves out of the 47 shots he faced and late in the 3rd period the Steelers potted in two with less than a minute to go, unfortunately for the Steelers it was too late and the Wolfpack secured a 5-4 win.
