The Grandview Steelers were in Maple Ridge for their second game this season against the Reigning Champs, the Ridge Meadows Flames. The Flames, ousted the Steelers 6-1 on home ice.
Out of the six goals the Flames scored, three of them were on the power play. But, the Flames all in all peppered the net with 42 shots on goal capitalizing on the chances they got.
For the Steelers, starting goalie Shayan Kermany was one of the positive, as he handled those shots from all over still making 36 saves.

The Tom Shaw Conference Survivor Series spots are still heavily contested, and still a very tight race. Following this loss from the Steelers and a win from the North Vancouver Wolfpack, as of Saturday, December 14th the Wolfpack have moved into fifth place in the conference, now one point in front of the Steelers and Coastal Tsunami.
The Steelers will look to bounce back in the win column this Sunday (December 16th, 2024) on home ice when they host the White Rock Whalers.
